Delightful cabin
Booked this cabin for a girlfriend's weekend. We've been visiting the area for years, but finally decided to get a cabin and we're so happy we did. The cabin had everything we needed - did not get to enjoy the hot tub but was glad to have the option. The decor was very nice. Instructions for everything from booking, checking in and out was clear. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone visiting the Harper's Ferry area or visiting the wine vineyard in this area. I would book this cabin again. Thanks to the hosts!

Booked this cabin for a girlfriend's weekend. We've been visiting the area for years, but finally decided to get a cabin and we're so happy we did. The cabin had everything we needed - did not get to enjoy the hot tub but was glad to have the option. The decor was very nice. Instructions for everything from booking, checking in and out was clear. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone visiting the Harper's Ferry area or visiting the wine vineyard in this area. I would book this cabin again. Thanks to the hosts!

Mountain Mama's was a very nice stay for us. It was located a very reasonable distance from Harper's Ferry and is very close to Antietam, allowing us to see the sights we wished to. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning! Take note, the driveway is VERY steep.

Perfect for family with children but not fully equipped for stay with babies. Bring pack and play. Enjoyed our stay
Very clean property. We enjoyed the elevated deck and timed our trip for some great bird watching. Amazing westward views. Even got to see a thunderstorm roll in. Saw deer and fox in the backyard doing their thing.
We had no trouble but the driveway is steep.

This place has incredible views from every angle of the house. It was peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing. It’s nestled away and so private, but not too private when you can’t get a delivery to the house. I love this place and I look forward to staying at some of the other properties very very soon. I already have friends booking now. if you are thinking about it, do not hesitate. If there’s anything wrong, it will be fixed in no time. The communication was wonderful. It was even my birthday and the host text me that morning saying good morning happy birthday and asked was I OK and that meant everything to me so don’t think about it don’t hesitate book now. Great little get away that feels like you’re in the middle of no where. Very cozy, love all the ambient light and a wood burning fire place was the perfect setting for a rainy weekend.

The cabin was quiet and private 2/3 of the way up a ridge and as described in the listing. Beautiful valley and sunset views from the deck but lots of yellow jackets. If you have allergies bring your epi pen! Cabin is convient to groceries, gas and lots of local attractions. We were 2 adults, if traveling with young kids you definitely would want to bring baby gates as home is on three levels and stairs going up to loft are open. Also, it is wooded and steep so no real outside area to play. Hot tub and jetted tub were great! If we ever revisit this area would definitely stay here again.

This was our first getaway with our 8 month old, and it was perfect! The pictures do not do the view or cabin justice. They were incredibly responsive and helpful. It made traveling with a baby so much easier. We cannot wait to come back!

Very warm and inviting house. Nice decor and very comfortable. Unfortunately the AC quit on us on day 2. Not the property owners fault. Was bad luck. Property owner did their best to resolve the issue but no techs were available in the evening. House became too hot so we left in the late evening a day early. Communication with the property was good and we were fairly compensated. In spite of the AC problem, which is a rare occurrence, we would definitely book again.

Perfect mountain retreat
This was the perfect space for our friends and family. The kid room with bunk beads worked perfectly for the kids, all the adults had comfortable beds, the views were just as they appear in the photo.

We enjoyed our stay at this home with our adult children. Traveling with adult kids, we especially appreciated that each bedroom was on a separate floor - allowing privacy for everyone. The view is spectacular, the kitchen is well appointed and the hot tub is delightful. The only caveat is to believe them when they say the driveway is steep! If there is snow you will need snow tires/4 wheel drive / chains, but that steep hill gets you the lovely view!

We stayed out this Mountain Mama home for our 2nd anniversary and it did not disappoint! Very beautiful location and very private. It was very comfortable and we were really able to relax and enjoy ourselves and the beautiful sunsets and moon glow through the giant windows and overhead skylight windows! The hot tub was an extra special edition that we enjoyed so much. We love the area because there is so much history, plenty of lovely little towns (and a terrific bigger one- Frederick, that is only about 30ish minutes away), things to explore (Crystal Grotto!), hiking on the AT- everything we love. The house had all the necessities to cook a nice meal, to watch our favorite football team win and to just relax with a good book by the fire. The beds were super comfy we both slept so well. The hosts reached out to check in with us before we arrived as well as once while we were there, and were very responsive to us. Check in was a breeze. Internet was great. I'm out of space.....

The house was clean, well provisioned, comfortable, and had an amazing view. We were able to make short trips to Antietam battlefield, Frederick, and Harpers Ferry. My only suggestion is that travelers with small children may want to remember to pack a baby monitor. All three of the very comfortable bedrooms are on different levels which can make hearing little ones difficult.

What a great place to stay! Beautiful views, a HOT TUB and jacuzzi. The home is gorgeous. Only thing I’d complain about are the stairs and the front yard. We spent a few days here in mid-April. The trees were just beginning to bud, so we had an amazing view of the valley from the enormous living room windows. The house was extremely clean, and towels and basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) are provided by the hosts. The whole family enjoyed the foosball table in the basement, and we gathered at the dining room table for board games and jigsaw puzzles. Harpers Ferry and many hiking options are close by (about 15-20 minutes). The cabin has a kitchen that is stocked with basic cooking implements, but we honestly didn't use it . . . there are so many good local restaurants that we wanted to try during our short stay. So clean and love the fact that all the flooring is hardwood and furniture is leather! The view from the main floor and upstairs is breath taking in the morning and honestly the reason we decided to stay here!

A few things I would point out and it only matters if you travel with little ones! There is one bedroom on the top floor with a beautiful seating area and the outside. One bedroom on the main floor (no tv on the main floor). Few bedrooms/beds in the basement. There is also easy access to stairs but we just used barstools to block those off!
This only impacted us slightly since we like to sleep in close vicinity of the kids and couldn’t all be in the same place unless we slept in the basement!

So clean and love the fact that all the flooring is hardwood and furniture is leather! The view from the main floor and upstairs is breath taking in the morning and honestly the reason we decided to stay here!

Great remote location. If you come in winter take head to the steep driveway and remote location. Not a problem but be aware!

We visited this cabin (6 people total) to celebrate a friend's engagement and have a relaxing friend's trip. We were able to roast s'mores, have a lovely fire, play board games, and grill — all of our favorite activities. This is a very lovely way to spend a weekend, and highly recommend spending time in Harper's Ferry nearby.

The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware and pots/pans. Beds were comfortable and the jacuzzi was very nice after a hike. Check in and check out was easy, with one small hiccup (the code wasn’t working but Eddie responded quickly and gave us another one). I would definitely stay here again.

Everything worked great - super easy check in/access to the house, nice appliances, two huge tubs - one with jets, and comfortable beds. All the fun games and toys provided were very fun for our young children. The nearest town is less than 15 minutes away for groceries and restaurants. This would be super awesome in the fall as it is surrounded by trees, or if there was snow. But the house itself feels roomy, yet intimate, and we loved our stay.

This was a fantastic week long getaway for my wife and I. Overall the home is charming - very warm tastefully decorated log cabin with a wonderful view, especially at sunset. The deck was enjoyable in the afternoons in the sun. Kitchen is well furnished with pretty much everything we needed (there is no ice maker but they have a few trays, so you may want to bring a bag). Beds and pillows are comfortable (memory foam I believe), and leather sofas on all 3 floors were super comfortable too. The home was spotlessly clean (really important to us). Communications from Eddie were great - always had a direct way to get hold of them, and they were really responsive with our questions. The fireplace is indeed a wood burning one (different than I'm used to, but works great, so bring some firewood!). Would highly recommend spending some time at the Antietam Civil War battlefield - just about 10 minutes away - one of the best preserved (and non-commercial) of all the civil war battlefields- there is a wonderful driving tour and online set of videos that describes what happened on this very tragic day. Shopping is really close in Shepherdstown (about 12 min drive). Overall a delightful stay and looking forward to either coming back here, or trying some of "Mountain Mama's" other properties!

The 3 bedrooms are spread out on the 3 floors, which gave our group of 6 room to spread out. The bedroom on the top floor has an en suite bath with a large jacuzzi tub. Every design detail has been thoughtfully considered making this a really charming getaway experience. Hard to find a good cabin in MD. This was a jewel!

We had such a lovely time at the property. Superbly clean, every detail is thought through. It’s better than the pictures. Clean, airy, cozy, bright with a new like feel. View was amazing. Wanted to stay longer, but it was all booked:-) Thank you to the hosts.

This home was a great home base as we spent
This home was a great home base as we spent time hiking and exploring the Harpers Ferry area and checking out some of the C&O canal path. Eddie was very responsive, and all of our instructions were clear and easy to follow. The home was comfortable, clean and we were fortunate enough to have seen a few deer right by the firepit and from the kitchen windows 🙂 a great place to stay!

The perfect “cabin”
I am afraid to give too high of a rating because I don't want it all booked up the next time we want to visit, but everything about this luxury cabin was perfect. Totally private feeling in the woods with nature and VERY clean. Very comfortable beds and nicely decorated. My kids, wife, and I felt immediately comfortable and at home. Great communication from the owner and helpful welcome and departure web page info.

This is hands down the best place I have stayed! The cabin is very peaceful and the views are amazing. It was super clean, communication with Eddie was fantastic, and it was very relaxing. Secluded yet not far away from anything you could possibly need. Will absolutely stay again!

This house in Keedysville was beautiful with stunning views for our family of 7! Eddie was very communicative and made our stay very easy with his house manual and easy check-in and out instructions. They even left us a bottle of wine, local popcorn and coffee! The bathrooms and house were really clean and we absolutely recommend staying at this beautiful cabin!
