This house was a great spot for a relaxing girls weekend. The views are just like the pictures. The kitchen had more cookware than most airbnbs, and lots of games!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Mama’s. It’s a beautiful cabin with amazing views of the surrounding mountains that you can see right from the hot tub or overlook! There were a lot of little details that you can tell were put into the place. The guidebook was super helpful and had literally everything you would possibly need to know about the house/how to use things. The only downfall is the steep driveway which might pose issues to some in the winter, however, this is out of their control and they are open about this in the listing so people are aware ahead of time. The host is super responsive and friendly and wanted to ensure everything was good during our stay. We wish we would have had several more days here because it was so peaceful and relaxing! If we ever find our way back in that area, we will be staying again!

We enjoyed our stay over a long late October weekend. The fall foliage and views were spectacular. We made use of the hot tub and fire pit during our stay. We enjoyed a day trip to Antietam, stopped at Potomac Brewing, Devil’s Due Distillery and a short drive through Harper’s Ferry. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet and peaceful. Check in, clean up and check out were all a breeze!

The road up is a bit challenging, but the payoff is worthwhile. Views are as good as advertised, and the house was perfect for me and 5 kids. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook every meal, and the hot tub was clean, inviting, and ☺️.

fantastic views--- great space for a getaway. The house itself is spacious; although an old home, it's been updated and has everything one would want/need for their stay. Host is really responsive, instructions are clear, everything was easy to access and use.

We had a really nice two nights at this great cabin. We were really glad that we happened to bring everything we need food/beverage wise so that we didn't have to leave all weekend. The hot tub and fire pit were phenomenal. The kitchen was well equipped with all we needed, the beds were super-comfy, and the bathrooms glistened! And, oh....did I mention the view? Unbelievable, so relaxing for the five of us who really needed a couple of days of total relaxation. Even the rain and wind on Saturday did not deter our enjoyment of the whole place inside and out. Thank you so much! We will be back and want to explore more Mountain Mama vacation locations:~)

Cabin was spotless, very organized check in/out, the website of the house rules and such was well organized and user friendly. The beds were the most comfortable that I've ever slept in at any AirBnB. it was a great place to hang out, rest and see some awesome sunsets while in the hot tub.

This was the perfect mountain getaway - super secluded and quiet but with restaurants and coffee shops surprisingly close by! The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. And you just can’t beat the view - we could have stayed in the hot tub for hours just soaking it all in. Highly recommend and we will certainly be back!

Kitchen was well stocked with cookware for cooking in and the views from the hot tub were great (when the wind wasn’t trying to blow it off the side of the mountain). The bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was just as described in the pictures and literature. We would definitely make a return visit.

We enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage, the fire pit and outdoor dining areas, and just lounging around the cabin. The town was fun to explore and w enjoyed learning some of the rich history. We definitely plan to return to this rental or a different one from Mountain Mama.

Having a child with an early February birthday has always made it hard to find something “fun” or “unique” to do to celebrate but when I proposed the idea of a weekend away in the mountains with her besties, a hot tub & disco dance snow tubing a few miles away she was more excited than I’ve seen her in quite some time! 14 year olds are hard to please these days but Mountain Mama’s cabin was a hit! We stayed in the hot tub taking in the views until we were pruny, sang happy birthday & sliced cake by the fire! It was a trip we won’t soon forget. On top of an amazing experience for all, Eddie was always immediately responsive & the home guide they have set up for their properties made enjoying our stay a breeze. ⛰️🧸🤩

Please make sure to take ALL you items. When unplugging my laptop charger, a piece was stuck in the outlet.
Asked the owner about, it was found, but the price for shipping a small piece is a ridiculous. Could’ve toss it in the mailbox.
So be mindful, they’ll charge $50 to ship lost and misplace items.

The house was exceptionally clean, and the amenities looked brand new. In addition, the host was very quick to respond whenever we had a question and made every attempt to make sure we understood everything, so all went smoothly with our stay. Thinking about making this an annual trip since we enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend staying here if you need some peace and quiet with your family or significant other.

My husband and I loved coming here after our wedding for our mini-moon. The weather wasn’t ideal to do things around town, however Mountain Mama had lots to do in the the space (TV, board games, and the comfiest bed to sleep in) as well as outside the space (rocking chairs with a stunning view and a wonderful hot tub).

Additionally, please note that it’s very secluded, meaning that almost everything (eg- Walmart, Food Lion) is 20 or more minutes from the Airbnb; however, this type of seclusion is EXACTLY what we needed after a heavy season of wedding planning.

This cottage was beautiful and had the best view ever.
This cottage was beautiful and had the best view ever. Unfortunately our longest day Saturday happened to be cloudy and rainy so we couldn’t do much of outdoors but on a sunny day this place is heavenly!! The cottage is as advertised and had most amenities needed. The beds were so comfortable. I loved the variety of board games and the ping pong table, gave us things to do while indoors. The road driving into the cottage is steep but not bad. I would visit this cottage again.

We loved our stay at the Mountaintop Cottage with 100-mile views of the Shenandoah Valley! We took a family getaway with our 4 year old and it was a magical experience. The hot tub, fire pit, wifi, TV, eating areas, wood stove, bathrooms, beds, location…just all wonderful. We had so much fun at the house that we probably didn’t need to leave to go anywhere at all, but we did drive into Historic Harper’s ferry for the day (also wonderful). We will definitely be back!

Incredible views- everything was perfect and well thought out. Communication was excellent and the beds were incredibly comfortable! Driveway is steep and if your older or have small kids the stairs in house could cause concerns but other than that - outstanding stay! I would highly recommend.

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and we decided to stay in this little gem. The house was spotless, the instructions for check-in and check-out were perfectly clear, and the host communicated with us very well.
The roads around the house and the driveway is fairly steep so it just requires a bit of care getting in and out but the view is so worth it. The hot tub was relaxing and there are some incredible sinking tubs in each bathroom. At night, it is completely quiet and it was a pleasure to just unplug and relax. When we needed to get some work done, the wifi signal was strong and the phone signal was great too.
We definitely will be back!

Hot tub was clean, there were games and a fire pit - great for spending time at the house. You're about 25 minutes from downtown Harpers Ferry - centrally located for river tour & zipline companies. The upstairs rooms - twin bunks and master don't have doors (master has a doorway curtain) but the downstairs 2 twins and queen room do. Was no issue for us but if you're filling every bed make sure logistics work for you.

This house is much nicer in person than it appears online. Very nicely appointed throughout for a rental property. It is an interesting drive up and down the ridge to the place and could see how it would be challenging in bad weather, but the views and sunsets from the hot tub make it worth the effort. The hosts digital house manual was the most comprehensive manual I've seen. It was on point and very helpful. The host were very responsive every step of the way.

Magnificent view and wonderful home
We spent the week before Christmas here with our family. It was perfect. The house was so well appointed and the wood burning stove made the place extra cozy. The beds were so so comfortable! The views were amazing and the hot tub was nice and hot.
The driveway is really steep and is not for the faint of heart. The property is very private and the neighborhood is quiet. We saw hawks and a lot of deer while we were there. Harpers Ferry is a short drive away, as is the Appalachian Trail.
We would highly recommend staying at this home. We are already dreaming about our next visit.

What a lovely weekend stay, next time will be a longer one! This is a cozy spot for any season with a hot tub, a fire pit, an amazing view, and a super homey feel. Its definitely a place to go to feel relaxed. Its close to historic Harpers ferry, which we had never been to before, but would like to visit again. Super cool interesting spot! Cant wait to book next years trip!

Better than expected! The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for; location was great, wonderful views, beds were very comfortable and all amenities were provided. The service was excellent and it was a very smooth check in/out process. We had the privacy we were looking for while still being close to restaurants, hiking, activities and attractions. Would highly recommend!
