Ahh!! It’s just a stunning cabin. It created the space
Ahh!! It's just a stunning cabin. It created the space for a perfect weekend for our family. We have a 26-year-old and a 23-year-old, and we were celebrating a 21-year-old. We arrived on Friday evening and shared apps and wine in the beautiful kitchen. I had many apps, and the kitchen was perfect for display. On Saturday, we had a driver take us to the local wineries, then returned to the house for dinner and a night of games. We played all the games in the basement and then shared the loft space for some board games. The beds were very comfortable, the front porch is perfect for morning coffee - we saw deer and turkey's too. Just LOVED our stay!

We had an excellent time at this cabin. It was exactly as advertised. Very cozy, very secluded, an amazing view. I would strongly recommend if you are looking for a nice getaway for a few days (and use the wood stove...it makes the cabin very warm and gives it that firewood smell).

The only issue we had was it took awhile to get the griddle ignited; we had to play around for about 15 minutes to get the igniter to work, but that was the only minor issue in an otherwise wonderful stay. The view is amazing, and the location served our needs perfectly. Communication was wonderful and we had a great time.

Perfect cabin getaway
This cabin was beautiful. Spotless when we walked in and very thiguhtfully and comfortably furnished. It was truly a home away from home. The sunset views from the west facing front porch is stunning. It was so fun driving up winding roads to get to this hidden gem. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was totally without incident and was absolutely peaceful.
Our stay was totally without incident and was absolutely peaceful. Deer roam the surrounding area and we were greeted by a turkey one morning! The house is beautiful inside and out, well furnished and stocked with everything we needed. Also great coffee! It is clearly very well managed and maintained. The EV charger was a very nice convenience. Our hosts were there if needed, but were entirely unobtrusive. The location is pretty remote, with lots of hiking possibilities, really beautiful countryside, but only about a half-hour drive to Harper’s Ferry and the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. We loved the house and the location, and highly recommend!

We all enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch to enjoy the view. The bed downstairs was too soft for us, but the king bed upstairs was much better. Cabin with a view
We were four family/friends away for a weekend of hiking and relaxation. The cabin is in a wonderful area with excellent prospects for exploring the outdoors. We hiked a small portion of the Appalachian Trail and also visited Harpers Ferry. We could have simply sat on the porch with a book as well, since the view is very relaxing. The host was attentive and helpful. Although our stay was short, we enjoyed our time at the cabin!

Everything about this cabin is so stunning especially the views are breathtaking and the sunsets are amazing, the hot tub was so relaxing the family enjoyed it, the hiking we did has a family was so much fun and the weather was great at Harper’s ferry, mountain mama was very nice and helpful, again your cabin was very warm and cozy we enjoyed ourselves. We seen a lot of deer which was really cool and oh wild turkey too. It’s beautiful at mountain mama cabin.

You will not be disappointed with this stay!

Lovely Cozy Cabin
Amazing cabin with plenty of activities for the winter (games, hot tub, wood burning stove, trails nearby, etc.). We were looking for a secluded and cozy cabin and this was absolutely perfect for that. Owners were very responsive and have thought of all necessities for visitors staying at the cabin. We would love to stay there again and highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle and be in nature for a while.

The cabin was clean and we had towels and wash clothes waiting for us on the beds. The jacuzzi was bubbling and hot and plenty of coffee, games and the perfect set up for sunset and sunrise! Thank you for an enjoyable relaxing stay!!

Weekend Getaway
My husband, son, and I wanted a weekend away. The house was so cozy and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the cooking utensils we needed.
My husband especially enjoyed keeping the wood stove going the whole time. There was some wood but I suggest if you’d want to keep a fire going to bring your own. Just incase there isn’t a bough or any.
10/10 would definitely stay again!

The only negative I have is that there were quite a few stink bugs in the living room. They mostly stayed in the windows. I know it’s a cabin in the woods but there were no other bugs that we noticed. Hopefully it was just an odd occurrence, as everything was very clean and nice.

We got there after dark and they left lights on for us. It was so welcoming, warm and cozy. My husband and I stayed in this cabin with my parents and two young boys for a weekend getaway. We wanted a house with a lovely view and some light hiking and this place was perfect. It was clean and just as described. Mountain Mama really made the entire process easy, we would definitely rent from them again.

Birthday getaway
I wanted to have a relaxing stay in the mountains and this place certainly delivered. I appreciate the clear communication and instructions from the host-the house guide was convenient. The house was clean, the beds super comfortable, kitchen stocked with exactly what was needed. Took a short walk to the Appalachian trail as well as an afternoon into Harpers Ferry. Loved watching the deer, wild turkeys, bunnies, and squirrels as I rocked on the porch. Highly recommend.

I wanted to have a relaxing stay in the mountains and this place certainly delivered. I appreciate the clear communication and instructions from the host-the house guide was convenient. The house was clean, the beds super comfortable, kitchen stocked with exactly what was needed. Took a short walk to the Appalachian trail as well as an afternoon into Harpers Ferry. Loved watching the deer, wild turkeys, bunnies, and squirrels as I rocked on the porch. Highly recommend.

This house is fantastic. Steep drive up but so worth it-would definitely recommend SUV or truck to get up there! Easy to contact host throughout with questions, and they were very responsive! Our group was impressed with cleanliness and amenities at the house. Cozy cabin perfect for weekend getaway!

Stayed with my wife to get away for a few days. The house is nice with a gorgeous view to the west from the porch - excellent sunsets. Lots of amenities - foosball, ping-pong, and a basketball game in the (unfinished) basement. Made use of the fire pit and hot tub - very nice. The only problems were the air conditioning didn't really cool things down and the day got hot. The combination we got didn't work, but called and were given another code that worked.

The property was awesome, very well equipped, clean, comfy beds and pillows! So the rest is FYI. We loved it and would stay here again definitely! The property location is a little of a double edged sword. It's very private and as mentioned in the title, the views are amazing! But it's about 15 minutes (we drove slow because there are one car wide roads with hills and sharp turns) to get out of the complex because of the distance from the main road. After which there's just a small, but pretty well stocked country store. About a half an hour to restaurants, etc. The hot tub is not covered so no hanging out there if it's raining. No ironing board or iron, so bring your own iron if you need one (we were visiting wineries so wanted to look decent.)

We had a wonderful stay at this location. It was so peaceful and allowed us all to just escape the everyday hustle. The home was spotless and the view was amazing. We loved the little touches that the housekeepers left to show that they really care that you enjoy your stay. Its the little things that say so much when staying at places away from home. This home had it all and allowed plenty of room to spread out when wanted but cozy enough to all be together and enjoy our time together. The home is a perfect escape that you dont even have to leave if you dont want to.

A full size high quality fooZball table, a top brand ping pong table and a Pop-A-Shot basketball game where two players can play against each other. Electronic with score keeping. The hot tub was a big plus too! Went horse back riding at Dark Spring Stables in Hillsboro and that was fun (20 mins away). Go to Harper's Ferry downtown and visit shops, have food and visit the park. There are also many caverns around which are worth exploring. We went to Skyline Caverns which is less than an hour away. There are others near Harper's Ferry too. Having the Appalachian trail right out the door was nice. We hiked multiple times. Highly recommend this cabin.

A wonderfully comfortable cabin with a gorgeous view in a secluded residential neighborhood. We used this spot as a halfway point between Harper's Ferry and Bluemont. We did one full day in each with our 2 young boys. They loved the cabin and didn't want to leave. The games in the basement, the view (sunsets are amazing), the nice interior decor, and the hot tub put this place above other mountain cabins we've stayed in.

The folks at Mountain Mama were a pleasure to deal with. The online house guide was very helpful, and we referenced it multiple times during our stay.
The location was perfect. It was at the end of the lane, so we had woods surrounding half the house. Every day, we were greeted by deer.
The house has a lot of amenities. The game room in the basement, the loft that our kids wound sleeping in, the bean bag chairs! The kitchen was gorgeous and open, and they provided delicious coffee beans for a fresh cup each morning while rocking on the front porch.
It was warmer on the upper floor, but they had plenty of fans to help with that. Note that there are two TV’s in the house - one in the loft and one in a smaller bedroom. So we actually wound up not watching very much TV while there, but instead played games, used the hot tub, sat on the porch, and worked on a puzzle all week!
It’s a 25 minute drive to town, but nothing too bad.
It was a little pricey for 4 nights but worth it in the long run for the time with our kids.

The folks at Mountain Mama were a pleasure to deal with. The online house guide was very helpful, and we referenced it multiple times during our stay.
The location was perfect. It was at the end of the lane, so we had woods surrounding half the house. Every day, we were greeted by deer.
The house has a lot of amenities. The game room in the basement, the loft that our kids wound sleeping in, the bean bag chairs! The kitchen was gorgeous and open, and they provided delicious coffee beans for a fresh cup each morning while rocking on the front porch.

We’ve been to a lot of cabins in the area, and this one might just be our new favorite. We had 4 adults and 2 babies, and had ample space. We appreciated the dark, heavy curtains and sound machines for our babies, who slept great the whole time we were there!

We were very impressed with this cabin. It was spotless and everything worked perfectly. How they get such fast internet speeds in such a remote location is beyond me. Only a few things to keep in mind. The drive up from the main road is long. When there is no snow a car can do it easily, but there are some rough spots. The reason the drive is long is because you are on top of the world once you get there. Breathtaking sunsets (though it can be a little too bright about an hour before the sun starts to set). We have stayed at many other cabins in the Blue Ridge and never had a view as good as this one. The location is perfect for both Harpers Ferry as well as Charles Town. The host provided a wealth of information and reached out to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We highly recommend this location.

The location was beautiful, the house truly felt like a get away with everything in place to inspire and renovate the soul. They also provided a very complete local guide which we were impressed with! Would totally stay here again and highly recommend!

Perfect mountain getaway
I had a lovely 4 night stay with my spouse and 2 young children. My daughter really enjoyed the trundle bed and being 3 it was great for her to have a bed option closer to the ground. Nice roomy kitchen, plenty of clean linens and towels, and a really cool gas griddle on the side deck for cooking outdoors. Woodburning fireplace that we didn't use since it was warm, but would be perfect for a cooler season. We didn't use the hot tub, but we peeked in there, it was clean and nice and warm. There was also a nice relaxation area above the kitchen with a big TV and games for the younger ones in the evenings or on rainy days. Everything you could ask for in a cozy mountain cabin!

This place was great for my husband and I who were celebrating our anniversary. The cabin was so quiet, cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable, towels were soft and wonderful. We even went into the hot tub which was super clean. We visited nearby Harper's Ferry and had the best dinner in Fredrick, Thatcher and Rye. Yes! to staying here. You won't be disappointed.

We had some wifi issues connecting and the TV was not connected to anything (it could connect but was not set up) but thats not why we went to the mountains and we eventually got connected. The cabin’s location is spectacular - far enough away from others while accessible to many nearby attractions. Five of us could comfortably dine and be with one another while also having our own spaces when needed. There was a lot of thought out into the amenities and decor…all quality, functional, and cozy! The kids (and adults) had a ton of fun in the downstairs game room. The view from the front porch is gorgeous no matter the time of day as well as looking over the lights of the valley at night while in the hot tub. We cannot wait to come back!

My daughter and I wanted a few days away to relax and spend quality time together. The house was perfect and we had deer and turkeys come right up to our window. The views were my main reason for selecting this cabin and they did not disappoint! We will forever cherish our memories made at this cabin ❤️

This location was a great place for a long weekend getaway with friends. Situated at the top of a mountain, this comfortable cabin provided beautiful views in a nice private area. The hot tub was definitely an added benefit which we really enjoyed!

Our family of 4 stayed here and had the most wonderful time. The location is beautiful (very isolated) and having easy access to the AT was awesome. The house (especially the kitchen) was well-stocked with everything you would need. Lots of great games and puzzles too! Eddie is a great host and we look forward to returning! The kids loved have a firepit (and s'mores) in the backyard.
Side note for other families with toddlers: this house is not easily baby-proofed. There is a big step down from the kitchen to the living area all on hard floor. Our 1.5 year old thought it was the best activity ever, but it was big enough that she couldn't go down safely unsupervised and she's a decently coordinated toddler (but a little wild). There wasn't a great way to block it off with furniture or pillows. Didn't detract from our experience, but kept us on our toes during our stay.

The house (especially the kitchen) was well-stocked with everything you would need. Lots of great games and puzzles too! Eddie is a great host and we look forward to returning! The kids loved have a firepit (and s'mores) in the backyard.
Side note for other families with toddlers: this house is not easily baby-proofed. There is a big step down from the kitchen to the living area all on hard floor. Our 1.5 year old thought it was the best activity ever, but it was big enough that she couldn't go down safely unsupervised and she's a decently coordinated toddler (but a little wild). There wasn't a great way to block it off with furniture or pillows. Didn't detract from our experience, but kept us on our toes during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay , the kids loved the basement with entertainment and such. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. Definitely bring all the food you think you’ll need, there’s a convenient store at the bottom but it doesn’t have much. The view is fantastic and the Wilde life will help you have an unforgettable experience. The house is located very close to the Appalachian trail, what a treat. Thank you Eddie!

We had a wonderful stay , the kids loved the basement with entertainment and such. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. Definitely bring all the food you think you’ll need, there’s a convenient store at the bottom but it doesn’t have much. The location of this Airbnb is serene and picturesque. On
The location of this Airbnb is serene and picturesque. On the way up the mountain, trees mostly obscure the view of the valley below, but some trees on the property have been cleared away for a fantastic view of the valley below from the front porch. In the morning and evening, there were 4 deer that stopped by to graze in the backyard, and one morning, a group of wild turkeys. The wild turkeys were further back in the woods, but you could see them due to the lack of foliage this time of the year. The best thing is that you can watch the backyard wildlife from the big picture window in the kitchen. The kitchen was well-stocked with nearly everything you can think of for food prep, cooking, and food storage. There is a country store that offers nice sundries near the Airbnb, but I recommend visiting a full service grocery store beforehand and plan to cook. The atmosphere of the house complements the natural world that surrounds. The log cabin aesthetic and forest animal and hiking décor are charming. The games and game room are fun amenities that offer a nice variety of distraction for evenings in after a day of hiking. The nearest AT access point is reached via a side trail that starts up the street from the Airbnb. It took us about 15-20 minutes to reach the AT from the access trail. There were a few small things we recommended to the host for next time, but we found the stay to be enjoyable and we had a good time!

The views were amazing, amenities were more than exceptional. The cabin was spacious, every room has a window with breathtaking landscapes & the wildlife was abundant. The wood burning stove warmed the entire cabin comfortable. I would definitely return & recommend to friend/family.

Kids loved the downstairs space with games, while the adults enjoyed the relaxed pace, front porch sitting, and toasty wood stove heat. The complimentary wine and whole bean coffee were thoughtful touches. We found the kitchen to be well-stocked (pots, pans, utensils, spices, oil). Additionally, we enjoyed grilling out on the deck and making s'mores in the outdoor fire area. Eddie was extremely helpful and communicated well during all parts of our visit. Highly recommend this property and Eddie as a host! We hope to come back in the future!

A lovely, well appointed house with great access to the AT and other local area activities. There were just two of us, but with three big bedrooms, a big kitchen, fire pit and a nice game room in the basement, I could definitely see bringing my family to stay.

This cabin is beautiful, the views are fantastic, the porch is great, the kitchen well appointed, the towels fluffy, AND the bed was so comfy! Overall a great experience, with very detailed instructions on check-in and checkout without having to interact with anyone directly. I wish we could have had a fire in the firepit and stayed for a few more nights. Will have to book again for a longer stay!

It's in the woods/mountains so you feel removed from the city, but it's a short drive to Harper's Ferry. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend this place!

This was our first stay in Harper’s Ferry and with Mountain Mama. We were a party of 6 and found the place great for our size. As we entered off Gate 1 road the views were great. We even saw several deer along the way. As we arrived at the house we were taken back by the beauty of it all. We immediately started a fire in the wood burning stove and set off to the grocery which was about 20min away. We found everything we needed at Red Lion. The kitchen was well equipped nicely for making dinner and breakfast. We also enjoyed the games in the basement to include some basketball and ping pong. Having 6 rocking chairs on the porch was a nice touch considering we were a party of six! We also enjoyed the board games and even left a Board game from the Philippines in the cabin to be used by future guests! Thanks Eddie for accommodating us. When we get back to the area we look forward to staying at another Mountain Mama property...maybe the one with the hot tub...😀👍

My family and I had a great time in this cozy, well-appointed cabin. The owners have set it up beautifully and there was even a welcome bottle of wine waiting for us when we got in. The rocking chairs on the front porch were a highlight. Communication was easy and prompt. We would absolutely stay here again.
